Wedding At Queens College
Cambridge Wedding Photographer
Whilst not quite a long time ago in a galaxy far far away, it was right back in August 2015 that we captured the wedding blessing of Oliver and Meredith. Having got married in Meredith’s native California a few weeks earlier, our couple decided to have a wedding blessing in the stunning Queens’ College in Cambridge, where Olivier once studied. Giving them chance to celebrate their marriage with those that could make it to the Sunshine State, and giving those that could an excuse for another party!
Now I am one that is all for tradition, I love the fact that the groom doesn’t see the bride before the wedding day, and I love that he turns around and sees her in the wedding dress for the first time and capturing that reaction. But on this occasion, and seeing as Oliver and Meredith had already done the traditional part, it was wonderful to see them arrive in the vintage Austin wedding car together, and then grab some couple portraits before they headed into the wedding ceremony.
And as much as it’s not traditional, there was something rather special seeing Oliver and Meredith enter for the blessing of their wedding at Queens College Chapel together, rather than apart. And after the ceremony, there would be a wonderful gathering of friend and family. And the wonderful venue of Queens’ College, would be a stunning backdrop for their second wedding day, as we’ll continue to look at it next week on our wedding photography blog!
