Bride arriving at a Cambridge Wedding

In our last blog we took a look at the beginning of Sophie and Tom’s wonderful wedding at St. James Church and St. Barnabas Centre in Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire. I had made a quick stop first thing in the morning to see the groomsmen putting together the final touches to the venue before then heading on to join the bridal party as they finished getting ready and then headed to the church for a beautiful service.

After the service while the guests headed into the reception and grabbed a glass of Presseco, Sophie, Tom and I went to get their portrait shots in the beautiful ground of St. James and the St. Barnabas. This is one of the things I love about St. James Church is the location which gives an amazing backdrop to our bride and groom portraits.

For our bride and groom portraits we use our engagement shoot to prepare, so that on the wedding day we can maximise the time we have, and the bride and groom can spend as much time with their guest. But first there are photos to be taken. It was great to spend a quiet moment with Sophie and Tom away from the Hustle and Bustle of the wedding day and allow everyone to catch their breath.

Of course the day is not over yet, there are speeches and dancing to come, as well as many smiles, maybe a few tears of joy and a chance for everyone to enjoy each others company and catch up with those they haven’t seen in a little while. Which we’ll take a little look at in our next blog!
