Le Talbot Wedding Photographer
Last Sunday (4th March 2018) I ran the Cambridge Half Marathon. Now this might seem a funny way to start a blog on Wedding Photography, but it reminded me of photographing the Wedding of Ultra Marathon Runners Debbie and Ernie at Maison Talbooth and Le Talbooth, a wonderful set of Wedding Venue just outside of Colchester in Essex.
The day began at Maison Talbooth where family and friend of the Bride and Groom. Ernie was also there, having been out for a quick run in the Morning. As I’m sure had Debbie, who arrived in good time, so it meant we were able to get some Bridal Portrait, before she headed into the ceremony.
Maison Talbooth gave a stunning backdrop to a wonderful ceremony, but after the ceremony we were to be equally treated at Le Talbooth. A stone throw away on the River Stour, we head to Le Talbooth for the Wedding Reception. In the wonderful grounds I got a few portraits of our Bride and Groom, and then a few shots with Family and Friends.
The Wedding Party then sat down for the Wedding Breakfast. It was a small celebration, and although I didn’t want to run out on Debbie and Ernie (I love a pun), it was sadly time to leave, but it was a wonderful couple of hours with a great couple!
Documentary Wedding Photography
Part of the courses I took when studying photography were Documentary and Gesture and Meaning. The two were very intwined, and one photographer we looked at was Henri Cartier-Bresson whose earned his reputation with his Street Photography and started the idea of the Photographic Decisive Moment. We look for those moments on your wedding, where old friend and family that haven’t seen each other in ages share a laugh, and maybe the occasional tear in the ceremony.
