In the late summer of 2015, we travelled 14 miles south of Cambridge to Saffron Walden for the Wedding of Steph and Alex. It would be quite a day as English and German wedding traditions were fused for an incredible wedding reception.

We arrived towards the end of the morning, first of all to the groom, where he and the groomsmen had just finished getting ready, suits sharps, ties and cravats straighten and buttonholes in place. After getting a few shots of Alex and his groomsmen, it was a dash a couple of miles down the road, where bride to be Steph was just finishing getting ready.

After a few sips of Champagne, and a few photographs, Steph and the father of the groom got on the horse drawn carriage that would taken them to the church for the wedding ceremony.

After a fairly swift arrival, that was announced by the sounds of hoofs on the road, there was a few last minute tweaks for the bride, an open horse drawn carriage ride can still create a windswept appearance, the bride made her entrance. It was a wonderful service, with emotion and laughs, that came from some wonderful readings. Steph and Alex would sign the wedding register with all their parent, bridesmaids and groomsmen, which made what is sometime a withdrawn affair a bit more of a celebration.

After leaving the church we would do Step and Alex’s wedding portraits, and then there would be an incredibly fun wedding reception, that all going up on the next blog!
